EDWARD EVIOTA
Ted obtained his law degree from the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law in 1988. After a stint with the infrastructure arm of government, Ted honed his operational experience with FPPC/BPPC which operated the 225 MW Bauang Power Plant and the 75 MW Panay Diesel Power Plant in Iloilo City. He helped develop and acquire numerous power plants including 1.6 MW Agusan and 112 MW Pantabangan-Masiway hydroelectric power plants.
Presently, Ted is one of the top 100 lawyers of the Philippines and is in charge of firm’s Energy, infrastructure and commercial projects including 100 MW of solar PV in Mindanao, 300 MW of coal, and biomass projects in the north. Ted assisted the government in crafting the Green Energy option and the ADB in WTE programs. He is active with industry affiliated groups, being a long-time corporate secretary of the Philippine Independent Power Producers Association (PIPPA) – composed of the largest power companies in the country, the Philippine Solar Power Alliance (PSPA), and was recently elected as Trustee of the Energy Lawyers Association of the Philippines (ELAP).
